Traveller's Guide to Orlando Sanford

"Orlando Sanford is the secondary airport in Orlando Florida and it is farther away from the main attractions which include Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Seaworld than the main Orlando International Airport. Orlando Sanford International Airport is conveniently located within the boundaries of the City of Sanford, in the northwestern section of Seminole County just 25km miles northeast of Orlando, Florida.
When you arrive at Orlando Sanford Airport you will find baggage reclaim on the ground floor of the airport, conveniently placed for all ground transport including the car hire agencies based at the airport, buses, taxis and car parks. Walking distances from the gates to the baggage reclaim is short and there are lifts and elevators and escalators if required.
If you are not hiring a car and plan to get a taxi to your destination ten the Yellow Cab Company is the only official taxi/cab company based at the airport and it is available without pre booking.
There is a good choice of buses and coaches from the airport, with the Lynx bus operating a service to and from the airport. There is no rail connection at the airport, but you can travel to downtown Orlando by bus, taxi or limousine from the airport to get to the Amtrak station there.
If you are departing from Orlando Sanford the airport is split into two terminals; Terminal A (International Departures), Terminal B (Domestic Departures). They are adjacent, so you can move from one to the other easily. Terminal A is on the upper level which is serviced by lifts and escalators.
The parking garage is the most convenient with a pedestrian bridge linking it to the terminal building. Various options are offered including Economy parking and Value Parking. Regular shuttle buses run to the terminal building if you park in the surface car parks.
There are plenty of choices for places to get snacks and drinks at Orlando Sanford Airport. Most of the outlets are in Terminal B, but if you want something hot to eat then head for the Food Court in Terminal A."
